So excited, today I made tortillas for the first time. They are so easy to make and taste delicious.
Here is the recipe:
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
3-4 cups plain flour
Dissolve the salt in the warm water, then add the canola oil. Add the flour 1 cup at a time until you get a smooth dough that is not sticky.
Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll each piece out to about 1/8 inch diameter. Then fry in a med/high heat pan. Cook for approx 1 1/2 mins each side until puffed a little. Keep covered until ready to enjoy.
We made a mince mixture with veges, and baked beans, then topped the tortillas with sour cream and grated cheese.
They were yummy!
